I would be grateful, kind and knolegable Sir, for your opinion on the modern definition of who is a photographer now that the likes of photoshop/gimp/etc. have blurred the line between photographer and artist. The few shooters I have talked to who are more artist than photographer, seem to want different things from their cameras. Is this merging of the talent pools affecting the demands that are made on manufacturers, do you think?

I was more than overjoyed (poor as I am) to lay my hands on a K mount Tamron 400mm recently, and some day I hope to track down a good example of the Pentax fish eye which serves you so well. Until a substance other than glass is found, weight and size are, surely, there to remind us of the balancing and trade-offs that are photography?
