
You know who invented the ever-ready camera carrying case, don't you? It was a descendant of the medieval armorer determined to protect the interior no matter how impossible it might be to get the subject into or out of the enveloping womb-like protection.



I am not sure where to direct my question, or even if the question is not so simplistic as to need no answer. And you may not be the one to answer, but your enjoyable columns reflect someone with a lot of experience and a lot of patience. I am planning a trip to China in the Fall 2007 and have been reading of the high levels of air pollution in Beijing and other cities. How do I cope with that to achieve good photographs? Is a UV filter enough? Thank you for any help you can give. Bill Myers
