Would you know if Cosina ever designed or produced 35mm SLR cameras for Chinon or Ricoh? One vintage photo forum has a Cosina page and the person I contacted there insists Cosina had a hand in the production of Ricoh Singlex TLS (basically same as Chinonflex TTL). My guess is the Singlex TLS & Chinonflex were both designed & produced by Ricoh. Chinon may have designed the cameras but I still think Ricoh produced them. Cosina & Chinon websites do not conclusively indicate they were producing 35mm SLR cameras in 1966-67. Any comments? Many Thanks, Gary Turner in Bozeman, Montana - Classic Camera collector & restorer

The Zeiss Holigon was not actually a 12mm as written, it was a 15mm f8 properly spelled, 'Hologon'. It was sold by Zeiss fixed in a camera. The last 500 units of lens production were mounted in Leica M mount but sold poorly until collectors sought them out. At their peak they would sell for $12000.
Cosina's ultra-wide 12mm lens is indeed the widest, and was the first 12mm lens for the 35mm full frame format. Until then Nikon's 13mm lens had been the widest non-fisheye lens.

I have been very taken with Cosina's efforts in the rangefinder front. They are doing some amazing things there for those of us who still prefer to use rangefinders and film. For the digital lover in me, a cheap digi rangefinder is still a dream as the options out there right now wouldnt work for me but soon enough...

Hi Herbert,

Very nice post, i just found my chance.

W/ 34 years old I'm a "digital guy", if i may say so, but i have this thing about film that atracts me, rangefinders (which i have none) namely.

Really enjoyed reading your post!

Thanks! It might give me the last push i feel into buying a RF... just not sure which! :)
once M8 and R1ds are quite expensive :|

I loved reading this. I had an M6 but was forced to sell it and have a Minolta CLE and CL. I have never liked digital as the tides and whims of D-SLRs change almost monthly and I refuse to spend $1,000 on an SLR only to have it become obsolete in months, not years. I still use and love film. The V-C lenses are a Godsend. Small, light and inexpensive, the sit perfict on my small CL and CLE and I really can't see any image loss over my former Leitz M lenses (I still have a 90/2.8 and a 135/4). The V-C lenses are great. Thank you, Mr. Kobayashi!

Have no cash to buy some real estate? Worry not, just because this is available to get the loans to resolve all the problems. Thus take a car loan to buy all you want.

Trendy folks constantly pay attention to all of the equipment inside the market. One example is, they may acquire great quantities of outfits together with shoes. Then they may acquire other equipment to tie in with these kinds of wearing well this kind of considered as handbags, hats, gloves, scarves together with so on.http://www.hermesreplicahandbags.com

Great article. I particularly like the giant facemask, and I'm surprised that Belichek hasn't tried it already.
